Michael Dominic Haas went to his final place of rest with our Lord Jesus Christ on August 31, 2024, after a two-year battle with bladder cancer. Michael was born on June 23, 1959, in San Jose, California to the late John Haas and Read Obituary
He was a bright light in my Sunday morning for sure. I always got a kick out of him when he's say to me " Oh your hair looks great today!" To which I'd reply, " Thanks I washed it" and he would say "Oh well maybe you should do that more often". That always made me smile but got him a punch on the arm for sure. Love you Mike!!
What a great man mike was this saddens me to find out he has pass away. I will pray for the family and pass on a good dead in his memory. I was a very special friend from years ago.
Mike kept it lively, cracking jokes, giving teenagers a hard time, even the adults, but always pointed us all back to Jesus. We thank God for his friendship and support. We miss him, and look forward to seeing him in paradise!
I loved how he was always friendly no matter where he saw you. If you needed something and he could help you he would. I used to laugh when the church would have the pie auctions to raise money and he really got into the bidding. He was serious!! He loved the Lord his family and friends. He will be missed greatly.
I met Mike when he became a patient of the doctor I work for. Mike, Leanne and her amazing mother where all patients at our office.
As I read his obituary I became to weep because it describes this man exactly as I remember. He never met a stranger, and he always talked with the other patients and all of our staff. He was always talking about feeding the office burritos !! We could be running behind, as all medical officers do at times but this man could change the whole atmosphere of the office just by being himself. He would tell me about his ministry at the Fordland Missouri prison and it just was so amazing to hear his heart for helping and his love of Christ.
He is most definitely rejoicing in heaven!!
I first met Mike when he came into our store to get what he needed to smoke some meat...supplies and a little bit of friendly advice! I mean to tell you he really got into learning the process and went to great lengths to practice making foods he could share with others.
Mike was a true King of the Cul de Sac, making more than enough food to go 'round, and having his cup filled up by giving more than he took from the people around him.
We're really going to miss not having you come through our doors anymore, but I know you'll be with us as we cook for other people, just like you did, my brother!
I will never forget holidays with you Mike. I could always count on you to enjoy my food, sometimes a bit too much. I will never forget you sneeking in the kitchen for sweets & your phone told on you. We laughed so hard! Thank you for sharing your daughter & grandkids with Max & I. I'm so glad you got to have that talk with Max last year on Father's day. Now I'm sure both you & him are enjoying many talks with Jesus together. Until we meet again!
Sad your gone but rejoicing knowing where your at. You will definitely be missed Mike.
