We are so saddened by the passing of our great friend, and neighbor, Jim Meyer. We lived as neighbors for many, many years in our beloved Florissant. We shared the "growing up" years of our children, and, consider Jim's sweet daughter, Shannon, as one of our own. So many interesting, and fun-filled conversations. So many lifetime events weathered through with the help, and comfort of good friends. One of my personal memories of Jim, involves the addition of a bedroom for our boys, in our basement. Don insisted on doing everything himself. It was taking forever. One day, I happened to run into Jim on the sidewalk, and, he casually asked how I was enjoying the new bedroom for the boys? I had to inform him that the bedroom was far from done. Before I knew it, Jim and his three incredible sons were down in our basement, working like beavers, in perfect harmony! In just a matter of a few hours, the walls were up, the window in place, the floor was ready, the door was on its hinges, and, he was asking what color to paint the walls! The room was DONE! It was a miracle! And, it was PERFECT! I offered to pay the Meyer Phenomena for their excellent work, but, Jim just smiled, shook his head, and said, "It's our pleasure". We will miss you, dear Jim, and we miss your beautiful Meyer Family. We are so grateful for the times spent with great neighbors, and especially, great friends.
