In loving memory of Eric,
It all began in a gym class forty years ago, where fate brought us together as the last picks for flag football.
Neither of us cared much for gym, but that shared experience ignited a friendship that would define my life. Eric, you were more than a best friend; you were my brother, my confidant, and my rock.
From those humble beginnings, we forged countless memories that became the fabric of our lives. I remember the laughter we shared, the adventures we embarked on, and the moments of understanding between us. Through it all, your presence was a constant source of comfort and joy.
One of my proudest moments was having you stand by my side as my best man, where your voice filled the room with beauty and emotion. You always knew how to touch hearts, whether through your singing or the gentle wisdom of your words. You were there to offer guidance and support without hesitation.
As we look back on our journey together, I can't help but smile at the wonderful times we had and the lessons we learned. Though saying goodbye has been incredibly hard, I find solace in knowing that you are now at peace, pursuing your passions with all the vigor and joy you always brought to life. Your excitement, your singing, and the melodies of your playing piano continue to echo in our hearts.
Eric, my dear friend, it's your time to shine among the stars. You have left an indelible mark on my life, my family's life and on everyone who had the privilege of knowing you. Your spirit will forever inspire me to live fully and cherish every moment.
I love you and miss you more than words can express.
Until we meet again. Love, Michael
