This is beyond grief for me. I just found out today that my dear friend left me without another hug.
Ben is the best friend I have made in the last 30 plus years.
He’s humble, loving, honorable, kind, selfless, smart, bold, honest, noble and fair minded.

My sincere sympathy to Anna, James, Ian and the rest of his family. I can’t imagine how you’re all feeling if I am this broken in my heart. May the lord give you comfort and strength plus Ben’s immense love for all of you. He loved you guys more than anything else in the world.

I am still in shock. Ben was the friend of my youth. And a good one. We saw each other through trials and tribulations. I knew him before he met Ann. I knew his happiness after he met Ann I went to his wedding. Now I have to say good bye. Or at least “see you later, buddy”. And it is stunning and unexpected. Gone too soon. . Those of us who knew him will never forget him. Peace to Ann and Ian and James now.

Ben at his finest. Whimsical, kind, mischievous and mirthful. Ben would tell me that if you ever wanted to bring joy to a woman or a child's life, just pick them up and whirl them around and they'll instantly brighten up and laugh. I know he would do this right now for you Anna physically if he could, and he most certainly is doing it in spirit. My deepest condolences for this unfathomable loss Anna. You were an incredible, bold and vivacious wife to Ben - championing him above all so he could lift up so many others. To Ian, James and the whole rest of the family, I'm so sorry. I want you to know that your dad told me repeatedly that the thing he wanted most of all for the both of you boys was to find kindness and enjoy inner peace. He loved you with wide arms.

My deepest sympathy on the loss of Ben. Ben and I were cube-mates for a couple years at work. He was such a kind, intelligent, forward-thinker, and such an inspiration to be around. His face always lit up when he talked about you and the kids - he was so very proud of you all.
