Dear Jan and Family,

It appeared with great sadness...I just happened to see Ron's obituary and am so sorry I was not aware of your loss earlier. Reading these wonderful tributes to Ron only affirms what I also experienced in the somewhat brief but pleasant meetings, conversations, and social times I was so fortunate to have with both you and Ron. He was such a gentleman and his insight and perceptions were excellent. I will always remember how welcome you both made me feel the first time I visited your home, especially since it was an unplanned visit. It was an honor to be considered his friend and yours.. I had the absolute pleasure of working for Ron for a year as his executive assistant in Chicago between 2014-2015. He was a perfect CEO, a real gem! He took his work seriously, but also knew the importance of not taking life too seriously. He would often remind me not to work through lunch and not to take work home over the weekend, "...the work will still be there when you get back - take a break!" To this day, I hear his voice when I'm tempted to do either one. Even after I moved on to another position, we kept in contact now and then, and I could always ask him for his professional opinion with confidence that I was receiving the best advice his years of experience had to offer. Knowing him made a significant difference in my work life, and I am forever grateful for that. My sincerest heartfelt condolences to his beautiful Jan and the Moen family. Dear Jan and Family! What a beautiful tribute to Ron! I had the pleasure of working with Ron when I was ADA President. He provided me with great counsel and support. While we sometimes had different views of things, I could always count on him to have the best interests of ADA and the profession as first on his list. I so wish he had written the book you referenced - The Board Never Makes a Mistake - I like to think that he helped us keep our board on the right path! Prayers are with all of you!
