Robert Gooldy's Obituary
Robert Gooldy passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 67 years, 8 months, and 12 days.
Robert was born on August 9, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Elwood Gooldy and Dorothy Gooldy (nee Hoffman).
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Jan Gooldy; daughters: Nicole (Mark) Frank, Ashley (Rick) Kyle, Kayleigh (Ron) Williams, Venus (Todd) Gampp, and Brittany (Jason) Wilkerson; mother-in-law, Patricia Klube; siblings: Betty Twombly, John (Ida) Gooldy and Shay Blackwell.
He is also survived by nine sweet grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Robert was a one-of-a-kind spirit whose love for rock and roll echoed through every corner of his life. A regular at concerts and a passionate collector of music memorabilia, he had a deep appreciation for the classics—both in sound and on screen. Whether cracking jokes with his signature sarcasm, lounging by the pool, or sharing laughs over old comedies and movies, Robert made every moment count. His tattoos told stories, his smile was contagious, and nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his grandchildren, who adored his playful nature and timeless sense of humor. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and loud music.
