Rhonda Sue Cowin's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rhonda Cowin, 61, who fought valiantly and tragically lost her battle to ALS on March 22, 2025. Born on December 13, 1963, to James Walter Cowin and Carlene Ann Larson. Rhonda lived a life full of warmth, adventure, and an undeniable love for her family and friends.
Rhonda was predeceased by her parents, James Cowin and Carlene Larson. She was also predeceased by her brother, James Cowin and her cherished son, Adam Freiburghaus.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and perseverance, survived by her son, Kristopher (Christine) Bowman and her daughter, Michella Freiburghaus; grandchildren: Hayden Williams, Skyla Shaffer, Sway Bowman, Emily Mathis, Chyanne Bowman, Xander Bowman, Madison Hastings, Anthony Ferndo, and Alec Deal; and great-grandson, Zayne Bowman. Rhonda's memory will also be honored by her remaining siblings; Helen Cowin, Heath Cowin, Ginny Cowin, Edna Cowin, Al Uzzle, and Jammie Henson.
Her battle with ALS was a testament to her courage and resilience, inspiring those around her to cherish each moment and never take anything for granted. All who knew Rhonda, knew she was a force to be reckoned with, her spirit as vast as the ocean and as enduring as the highest mountain. She was always warm and full of life, and she carried an infectious energy that inspired those around her. Her zest for adventure led her to explore the beauty of life, always encouraging others to join her on her journey.
The void left by Rhonda's departure cannot be filled, but her radiant spirit and love for life live on in the hearts of those she touched. Our lives, although dimmer without her, are immensely brighter for having had her in them. May Rhonda's soul rest in eternal peace.
