Retha Sibila Osmack's Obituary
Retha Sibila Osmack passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at SSM St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond Heights, Missouri at the age of 90 years, 1 month, and 28 days.
Retha was born on September 13, 1931 in Captain's Creek, Missouri (near Fredericktown, Missouri) to the late Charles Jones Chapman and Lovey Levada Chapman (nee Francis). Retha is also preceded in death by her husband, William Osmack.
Retha was a loving sister to Melvin Chapman, Harrison Chapman, Frieda Brady and Janice Davis; Mother to Rita Lee Hunt and Richard Lee Hunt Jr.; Grandma O. to Sarah Dotson, Anna Stout, Jacquelyn Hunt-Grosfield and Renee Richardt; Great-Grandma Oh Oh to Michael Dotson and Alex Stout.
She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews who loved to listen to her storytelling.
Retha had many friends and cousins who she liked to visit. She was a proud member of the Printers Union for 42 years. She loved her pet dogs who she proudly walked in the neighborhood where she would talk with all her neighbors.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Genesis Banquet Hall, 2651 Telegraph Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63125, on Sunday, December 5th, 2021 from 12:30 to 2:30 pm.
