Peter Wellington Rockwell's Obituary
Peter Wellington Rockwell, born October 6th, 1937 in Lakewood, OH. passed away on February 29th at his home in Kirkwood, Missouri. He was 86.
He is survived by his loving wife, Meredith Rockwell; his children Ann Huggins, Sara Rockinger, and Terrence Rockwell; his grandchildren Carissa Rockwell, Stephanie Rockwell, Philip Rockwell, Margaret Schwaderer, Holly Huggins, and Sam Rockinger; and his great grandchildren Jenna, Julie, Laura, Jace, Jayden, and Thomas. Peter was preceded in death by his son, Keith Rockwell.
Peter was a mail carrier for the US Postal Service for over 30 years in Des Peres, MO. He was a life-long peace activist, amateur astronomer, and avid sports fan.
A funeral service will be held in his honor at 3:00 pm on Friday, March 15th at First Presbyterian Church of Kirkwood, 100 E Adams Avenue., Kirkwood, Missouri 63122.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Heartfelt Hands or St Luke's Hospice. Their amazing caregivers lovingly comforted him through his final months. Peter's family is eternally grateful.
