Nancy Janine Kossieck's Obituary
Nancy Janine Kossieck passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 88 years, 9 months, and 28 days.
Nancy was born on November 3, 1936 in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Asa and Laura Partridge. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth G. Kossieck and son, Kurt M. Kossieck.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Robin L. (Douglas Held) Cain; grandchildren: Ryan S. Cain and Chelsea L. Swinford; and great-granddaughters: Anna and Bekah Cain and Briaunna and Kayla Swinford.
She was also a sister to Patricia Stuart, a loving aunt, and friend to many.
Nancy enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, and a variety of crafts. She had a great love for music and attending the theatre. She also cherished game nights, especially playing Mexican Train and Bunco with friends. Nancy had a passion for Pampered Chef, shopping, and took joy in her unique collection of owls.
A service and Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Tower Grove Park at the Stupp, 3616 Southeast Drive, St. Louis, Missouri 63110.
Those who attend should take Kingshighway to Magnolia Avenue, enter the park on Tower Grove Avenue and take 3rd exit at the circle to Main Drive. Continue to the last road on the left, Osborn Drive, where you will be able to park on the street.
Nancy’s urn will be laid to rest at a later date at Parkview Memorial Park in Peoria, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Nancy Janine Kossieck’s name towards a Memorial Brick at Missouri Botanical Gardens. Donations for the brick can be made by calling 314-577-0291 or online at https://give.missouribotanicalgarden.org When making a donation, please use her full name.
