The end of the dash is no longer blank. If we view this date with frail, human eyes, we are brought to our knees by the realization that there are no more memories to be made. Frail eyes well with tears. This reality is too stark. The frail human heart squeezes with sadness in missing her. It's so painful... too final. For now...

See the Scriptures tell us when a person dies 'in' Christ, the date that fills the end of that dash is a fleeting millisecond of a millisecond in our human story.
'In Christ Jesus we are all children of GOD through faith' ~ Galatians 3:26
'All who are baptized into Christ have been clothed with Christ' ~ Galatians 3:27
'For we have died, and our lives are hidden with Christ in GOD' ~ Colossians 3:3
When we choose to follow Christ Jesus, we choose to die to our sinful selves. We choose to live out eternity hidden with Christ in GOD! We place this frail life in the hands of our Living GOD, and place our faith in Christ alone. We cling to this hope! Our every breath is taken in faith.
And when there is a date at the end of our dash, we will be rejoicing in Paradise, as mom is now, in the arms of our Precious Savior Jesus and worshipping our LORD GOD forevermore.
Praising GOD for HIS mercy and grace, and the great hope that this here and now is but a millisecond.
Celebrating the unending peace, joy and eternal rest that is has now been given to mom by the mercy and grace of our LORD GOD Almighty!

'Thank you' does not even begin to express the love Haas Mike and I have for all of you and you kind words, sentiments and condolences! We are hitting the 'Love' button on every one of them. You sharing how she touched your life is so special...it helps in our healing. GOD gave her to us to care for here on Earth for a short while. I have a lifetime of love and memories. And now HE is caring for her in the Heavenlies! I love how HE blessed us all with her love, and of course, that smile. And how HIS blessings are endless and they will continue on forever...healing all our hearts as we cherish mom...Ms. Nancy...tiny pants... (she shares that one with our granddaughter). 😊
We love you all so much! Thank you for lifting us up! May your loving kindness return to you tenfold!

The day is here. Mom's race is done. She is on a new journey with Jesus now. My tears come in waves...some are tsunamis. We gathered over her and cried, laughed, told stories, cried some more. Memories will replace the sorrow. I am overjoyed she is no longer suffering. But boy I miss her already! The pain of her empty room. Enjoy the peace you never knew here on earth my sweet, sweet mom...my hero...my BFF.

For those that have not yet heard, mom is on hospice now. She is running the final leg of her journey and will soon cross the finish line... from my hugs to the tender, precious arms of Jesus... finding forever peace and rest. My BFF is going on before me. And I fasted and prayed for Hospice to not have to deny her again. It was time for her to have this measure of comfort. Reality bites hard. Hospice is here. The end is near.
My heart is aching beyond belief. But it will not break. RA, prednisone and dementia may have taken a mighty toll on this tiny body. But they will never steal her smile, her kindness or the love she has always had for family and friends. Her impact on people is far and wide. I doubt she knows how many lives she touched. But all who know her have loved her so. And that blesses me greatly. I don't know how GOD saw me fit to have the strongest, bravest and kindest woman for my mamma. But I am forever thankful HE did. No mom has ever loved, supported, or sacrificed more for her daughter. I have been blessed by her love all my days.
GOD is steeling my heart for that last breath... eternal peace.
Thank you to everyone for prayers, food, gift cards, donations of supplies before we had Hospice...endlessly sharing in this burden of my heart with me. It's impossible to quantify the depth of your kindness.
'Thank you' does not cover what you do for me Haas Mike! I love you to infinity. You have stepped in and stepped up...burdened your heart right along with mine. I am glad i do not have to walk this part of my journey without you.
I will update when we can all celebrate the end of the sufferings of this life.

Celebrating mom's time with RepMo schools. She loved the kiddos and coworkers. She loved being active and feeling like she was needed. She spun circles around the young kids she worked with. Hardly took days off and worked as long as her body would let her. Her heart would have worked to the end. She was a fantastic role model and another reason why she will forever be my hero!
