Maria Monique Cystrunk's Obituary
Maria Monique Cystrunk passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2026 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 66.
Maria was born on October 16, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Lamar and Fay Cystrunk.
She is survived by her sons: Justin (Eva Dowell) Betts and Brandon Betts; and her grandchildren: Chloe Betts and Neriah Betts.
Maria loved crocheting — truly anything she could create with a needle and thread — and she especially enjoyed relaxing with a good horror movie.
Per Maria’s wishes, she was donated to Logan University in Chesterfield, Missouri to help with the advancement of modern medicine.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Maria’s name can be made to the American Cancer Society.
