Margaret Ann Davis' Obituary
Margaret "Maggie" Ann Davis, age 72, formerly of Effingham, Illinois, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021 at her home in Eureka, Missouri surrounded by her loving family.
Margaret was born on December 23, 1948 in Decatur, Illinois to Theron and Lelia Rankin. Maggie graduated from Charleston High School. She went on to become a talented cosmetologist and later was the owner of AdHatters with her husband, Terry.
Maggie was a member of First Baptist Church in Effingham, Illinois where she served in every capacity in which God called her.
Maggie enjoyed being outside, whether it be gardening, mowing, or just playing with her grandkids. She also enjoyed interior design, fashion, resale shopping, and the color pink.
Maggie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, Terry Davis.
Maggie is survived by her children: Betsy (Shanian) Lusk, Brenna Okoth, Terry Ray Davis, II, and Anna (Joel) Wilson; grandchildren: Layton Diaz, Aleah Hamilton, Connor Lusk, Samuel Wilson, Kaylee Hamilton, Caleb Wilson, Jovie Hamilton, Theron "Theo" Wilson, and Brooklyn Okoth; and her grandpups, Ursinha and Rona.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Effingham, 213 West Fayette Avenue, Effingham, Illinois 62401. A visitation will be held on the same day from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. In keeping with Maggie's memory, please wear something pink to the celebration.
