Louis A. Russo's Obituary
Louis A.Russo passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Friendship Village in Chesterfield, Missouri at the age of 88 years and 9 months.
Louis was born on July 16, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Louis Russo and Rose Russo (nee Millar).
Louis was a beloved brother and great friend to many.
After studying accounting, drafting, and engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, he was employed for many years as a manger in the drafting department at Union Electric (Ameren Missouri).
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. When his duties were completed he came home to continue his career at Ameren until his retirement.
Lou was a very religious man who read and studied the bible on a regular basis. He a longtime, faithful member of King of Kings Lutheran Church in Chesterfield, Missouri.
He loved playing card, watching baseball and football, and playing pool at his home at Friendship Village West. His retirement years were filled with many hours of volunteer work for Meals on Wheels, St. Luke's Hospital, and the Salvation Army.
He was a philanthropist who frequently donated to The Ronald McDonald House, Salvation Army, and various food pantries just to name a few.
Per his wishes, Lou was donated to Logan University in Chesterfield, Missouri to support the the advancement of modern medicine.
