Linda Hoffman's Obituary
Linda Hoffman (nee Weil) passed away on Monday, June 30 2026 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 79.
Linda was born on March 7, 1947 in Racine, Wisconsin to the late Henry and Nellie Weil. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 32 years, Joe Hoffman.
Linda is survived by her son: Louis (Joan Davis) Gewirtz; grandchildren: Saige Gewirtz, Leia Gewirtz, Hafis Davis, Hallil Palmer, Lauren Davis, and Lindsey Cohen; sister, Nancy Raynor; and niece, Susan McClain.
Linda found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved knitting and sewing, creating beautiful handmade items with care and creativity. A devoted animal lover, she had a compassionate heart and was always willing to rescue and care for animals in need. Linda also enjoyed cooking for those she loved, spending time working on puzzles, reading novels, and listening to music. These hobbies reflected her kind, gentle spirit and brought her comfort and happiness throughout her life.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Marine Corps League, ASPCA, or the American Cancer Society.
Linda was donated to Logan University in Chesterfield, Missouri to help the advancement of modern medicine.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
