Laurence L. Wicklund's Obituary
Laurence (Larry) Leon Wicklund (84) passed away peacefully on June 13, 2023 at home with his family at his side. He is preceded in death by his parents Emil and Mary Wicklund, and his brother, Dwight Wicklund.
Larry was born March 16, 1939 in Herington, Kansas, and grew up working on his family's farm near Woodbine Kansas. He is survived by his wife, Judy, daughter Lori Levy (Jason Wood), son Mark Wicklund, and grandchildren, Daniel Levy, Rena Levy and Jacob Levy.
Larry graduated from Kansas State University in 1962 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He then moved to St. Louis to work at McDonnell Aircraft Corporation. During that time, he attained his masters degree in engineering mechanics from the University of Missouri Rolla. He was a dedicated mechanical engineer for 60 years at McDonnell Aircraft, McDonnell Douglas and Boeing. Larry was a generous and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed bike rides, camping and hiking.
Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday July 29, 2023, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church,
1485 Craig Rd, Saint Louis, MO 63146.
