Joseph "Joe Pawn" Allen Ennis' Obituary
Joseph Allen “Joe Pawn” Ennis passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025 at his residence in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 73 years and 8 days.
Joe was born on September 11, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Homer Lemule Ennis and Hazel Winifred Ennis (nee Benson). He is also preceded in death by: his wife, Carol Ennis; lifetime companion and yard sale Queen, Judy DeLaney; grandson, Charles “Bubba” Canania; great-grandson, Easton West; and siblings: Jeanette, Marlene, Tex, and Wally.
Joe is survived by his sons: Joseph “Bo” Ennis, Jr. and Daniel “Peanut” Ennis; daughters: Kim (Mike) Canania and Karen (Rusty) Marsala; sister, Beverly Uhl; along with many other step-children.
He was also a loving Pa Pa to Kayla (Joe) West, Ciera (Nathaniel) Woodruff, and Sean Hanning; great-grandpa to: Caiden, Aleah, Zain, Kilyn, Ashlynn, Aria, and Korbin; uncle to: Regina (Dan) Long and David (Stacey) Uhl; long time friend to Dale; best buddy to his dog Little Man Rascal, and beloved uncle and friend to many.
Visitation will be held at Hughes Funeral Alternatives, 3211 Sublette Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri 63139 on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
