John could never hold a tune in a bucket but he adored music, could play piano, and always surprised us with "deep cuts that no one else knew of or remembered. He had a huge heart and was so very generous and kind. He thought more about others than himself.
John was brilliant with numbers. He was a great athlete who loved to play football, basketball, and running track. He excelled at everything and was loved by his teammates.
He could figure anything in his head, remember dividends dates of every stock he ever investigated, and remembered every stat of every baseball, football, basketball game and track meet he ever watched or read about.
John loved his son, Marshall dearly. Tragically, their time together has been cut short. John was a gentle giant. His death leaves a huge hole in our hearts
