Hazel Ruth Muskett's Obituary
Hazel Ruth Muskett (nee Breeze) passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at her residence in Florissant, Missouri at the age of 85 years, 3 months, and 24 days.
Ruth was born on December 18, 1937 in Crocker, Missouri to the late Herbert Breeze and Hazel Breeze (nee Oldham). Ruth was also preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Rolla Eugene Muskett, Jr.; and a grandson, Scott Wacker.
Ruth is survived by her daughters: Caren Ann (Curt) Wacker, Virginia Lee (Mike Lyon) Muskett-Lyon, Susan Marie (Tim) Nelson, and Mary Jo (John) Tucci; grandchildren: Kyle (Emily) Dawson, Matthew (Lauriel) Wacker, Dusti (Wyatt) Lyon-Preul, Carl Nelson, Vincent Tucci, Gracemarie Tucci, and Angelo Tucci; and great-grandchildren: Winona Lyon-Preul and Lydia Lyon-Preul.
Ruth was also a beloved cousin, friend, and great neighbor to many.
Ruth was a faithful member of Florissant Presbyterian Church. She also enjoyed gardening, tutoring local neighborhood children, swimming at the James J. Eagan Civic Center in Florissant, and studying genealogy. Ruth also fostered many cats for SAPA, an organization she was very passionate about.
To help with the advancement of modern medicine, Ruth's wishes were to be donated to Logan University in Chesterfield, Missouri. Following the scientific study, Ruth's urn will be laid to rest with her husband, Rolla at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
A Memorial Service will be held at Florissant Presbyterian Church, 660 Charbonier Road, Florissant, Missouri 63031 on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Refreshments will be served to guests following the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider making a donation in Ruth's name to The SAPA Store and Adoption Center, American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, or Marygrove. All of these organizations were close to Ruth's heart.
