Guy Edward Hollowood's Obituary
Guy Edward Hollowood passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 73 years, 5 months, and 29 days.
Guy was born on January 17, 1949 in St. Louis Missouri to the late Charles Hollowood and Iola Hollowood (nee Ribbley).
Guy is survived by his wife of 38 years, Deb Hollowood; sons: Zach (Corinne Guilday) Hollowood and Travis (Alyssa Arceri) Hollowood; and sisters: Christine (the late Al) Schmiz, Maureen (Kris) Meyer, and Colleen (Mark) Signorelli.
Guy was also a beloved son-in-law, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend to many.
Guy is a veteran of the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War. He would go on to retire from Nestle Purina after working there for over 35 years. In his working years, Guy could be found camping each weekend. This love of nature later transitioned to vacations at the beach. When not enjoying the outdoors, he could be found appreciating music at rock and blues shows or taking drives in his Mustangs.
A committal service, with full military honors, will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63125. Friends and family are asked to meet and form a procession at Slyvan Springs Park by 1:15 p.m.
