Edward Charles Toler's Obituary
Edward Charles Toler passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri at the age of 75 years and 8 months.
Edward was born on February 4, 1949, in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Edward Henry Toler and Patricia Toler Weems (nee Jenne).
Edward is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jan R. Toler (nee Brunk); children: Kim (Jonathan) Smith, Todd (Tricia) Weible, Niki (Rob) Banning, Bryan Toler, Jen (Dave) Brandenberg, Tobi (Mark) Sells, Micah (Jessie) Toler, and Joshua Toler and significant other Lindsay; and sisters: Lynn Miller and Janice Toler.
Edward was a loving grandfather, great-grandfather, and compassionate friend.
As a young adult, Edward accepted the Lord as His Savior. Edward’s faith grew and became a central part of his life. He loved sharing biblical knowledge and scriptures with those he loved. One of Edward’s most treasured Bible verses was Joshua 24:15 (KJV): “... but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Edward was a mechanic by trade. He was also a talented artist with a skill of painting and sketching country scenes and animals. He loved to tinker, maintain, and fix things. An innovator at heart, Edward would also come up with small, interesting inventions. Edward could often be found target shooting or tending to his horses, dogs, cats, or chickens.
More recently, Edward enjoyed gardening, news and current events, Christian podcasts, completing Sudoku puzzles, and listening to Joy FM Christian Radio.
