Denise L. Adkins' Obituary
Denise "Dede" Adkins passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 64 years, 9 months, and 28 days.
Dede was born on August 22, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Everett Boyer and Joan Boyer (nee Slade). Dede is also preceded in death by her brother, Michael Boyer.
Dede is survived by her husband of 43 years, Lloyd "Jeff" Adkins; children: David (Jennifer) Adkins and Sheila (Mike) Wedemeier; grandchildren: Evan Wedemeier and Eliana "Ellie" Wedemeier; siblings: Judy Kenney, Paul (Nancy) Boyer, Lisa (Phil) Cernuto, and John (Lisa) Boyer.
Dede was also a loving sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Dede enjoyed traveling. She loved to go on vacation and explore new places. Her family, especially her children and grandchildren, was her greatest passion in life.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at the Monticello Clubhouse, 2 Dunmore Circle, O'Fallon, Missouri 63368.
Private inurnment will take place at a later date at Hillcrest Abbey Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider making a donation in Dede's name to the Missouri Botanical Garden, a place that was very special to her.
