I didn't get a chance to meet David in person. Our solitary meeting was on zoom and I remember him as a soft spoken and a humble man. I feel I knew him far more than our one virtual meeting would suggest. Maybe this is due to our common love of nature. Sometime in 2021 when Usman told me about David's environmental background and accomplishments, I was eagerly looking forward to having discussions with him. That was not to be, but I have no doubt we shall meet and exchange our nature stories in the after life.
