Cletus W. Henry's Obituary
Cletus W. Henry, 87, of Webster Groves, MO, passed away on September 13, 2024 after a brief illness.
He was born on December 17, 1936 to the late Roy C. and Mildred M. (Mudd) Henry in Red Bud, Illinois.
He married Ruth A. (Hess) Henry on May 30, 1963 and she survives.
He is also survived by his daughter, Ann Henry; sister Virginia Moeller, brother, Roger (Marie) Henry; sister-in-laws Janet Henry, Shirley Henry, Kathy (Phil) Christy. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death besides his parents were brothers Curtis (Jeanette), Vernon, and Ralph Henry, sister Vera Henry, and brother-in-law Larry Moeller.
Cletus graduated with a BS degree in Chemistry from St. Louis University. After college he followed his dad into the construction trade. He was a member of Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council, Local 97 for close to 70 years. He loved working and could build or fix just about anything. We will miss his quiet demeanor and friendly manner.
Visitation at 9:00 a.m. with a Funeral Mass following at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 28th at Annunciation Catholic Church, 12 West Glendale, Webster Groves, MO. 63119.
Cletus donated his body to Logan University. In lieu of follows, Masses can be said in his memory or donations to Gibault Catholic High School, Waterloo, IL (gibaulthawks.com) or Nerinx Hall High School, Webster Groves, MO (nerinxhall.org).
