Christopher G. Barone's Obituary
Christopher G. Barone passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the age of 72 years young. His family is deeply saddened by his sudden passing.
Chris was born on August 11, 1949 in San Jose, CA to the late John Barone and Jetta (Williams) Kornfeld.
His greatest joys were his children, his family, and his friends whom he loved spending time with. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing as a member at his favorite golf club community at Woods Fort in Troy, MO. He loved riding his Harley to his heart's content! He also had a love for classic cars, history, and his gun and knife collection. He was musically inclined, and in his younger years played the bass guitar and drums. Chris was a proud veteran of the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War. He also served his community as a Deputy for the St. Charles County Sheriff's department.
Anyone who knew Chris was touched by his kindness, humor, and occasional, endearing stubbornness, and were always entertained by his stories and "conspiracy theories." He showed up when it mattered, had your back, and wound defend and stand up for his friends and loved ones should the need for it arise. His passion and integrity to those he loved was unwavering. Chris was and always will be immensely treasured.
Chris is survived by his children: Steven Barone, Nicole (Barone) Kasper, Christopher Barone, Ryan Barone, and Keith Barone and their mother Sherry (Simmons) Barone; siblings: Valerie (Kornfeld) LaFemina, Theodore Kornfeld, Joetta (Kornfeld) Shepard-Koscelek, Kurt Kornfeld, Sharon (Barone) Kendall, John Barone, Larry Barone, Gary Barone, and Rick Barone; and step-mother Rose Barone. Also surviving are many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
"In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place that no one could ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, though, you didn't go alone, for a part of us went with you, the day God took you home. Until we meet again..."
A committal service with full military honors will be held at: Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri on- Friday, November 19, 2021 at 10:30am. Family and friends are asked to meet at: Sylvan Springs Park off Sheridan Road by 10:15am.
