Charlie White's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Charlie White, who departed this life on May 27, 2026, at the age of 40.
Charlie White was the beloved father of Ryder White, whom he loved beyond measure and to whom he was a devoted and loving dad. He was the cherished youngest son of Jane White and the late Pete White, and a loving brother to Mike (Candise) White, Andrew White, Angie White, and John (Johanna) White. Charlie loved all of his cousins and was the best Uncle "drunkle" to all the nieces and nephews and always brought the family a smile.
Charlie is from Bellefontaine Neighbors and raised in the St. Jerome parish. Here he built the roots of the larger-than-life personality so many came to know and love. He later made his home in Portage Des Sioux, where he was quickly embraced by the community and the river life that meant so much to him. Charlie was a proud sailor that served in the United States Coast Guard onboard the cutter Sherman & cutter Active . Charlie continued his calling of being a sailor on the M/V dredge Wheeler with the Army Corps of Engineers where the crew he loved was his second family. Charlie was truly at home on the water, he sailed the world's oceans, worked and lived on the Mississippi river. The river was not just where he lived—it was part of who he was. Charlie had a gift for connecting with people. He never met a stranger and left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. He was known for his quick wit, infectious humor, and his ability to make others laugh
Fair winds and following seas Charlie.
