Brendan Thomas Burnett's Obituary
Brendan Thomas Burnett passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at his residence in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 41.
He was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Arthur D.L. Burnett, Jr. and Lisa Burnett. Along with his parents, Brendan is survived by his loving wife, Hannah Montague; and brother, Michael Burnett.
Brendan was also a beloved nephew, cousin, and friend to many.
Brendan was a proud veteran of the United States Army Airborne, serving honorably with the 82nd Airborne during the Global War on Terror. He carried great pride in his service to his country and the brothers he served beside. Outside of the military, Brendan enjoyed the simple things in life — hunting, fishing, smoking meats, and spending time with dogs, as he never met one he did not love. Known for his kind heart and generous spirit, Brendan touched the lives of many through his loyalty, compassion, and willingness to help others. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri where full military honors will be rendered. Guests are asked to meet at the cemetery staging area by 10:15 am.
A Celebration of Life for Brendan will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be collected at Brendan’s Celebration of Life for the Local VFW.
