Anthony Joseph Sancho-Spore's Obituary
Anthony (Tony) Sancho-Spore was born on August 10, 1999 in Tomball, Texas and was in the third graduating class of Tomball Memorial High School. He grew up in Tomball until he began college at Washington University at Saint Louis in the fall of 2017. Anthony was always high-energy, highly inquisitive, highly competitive, and passionate about his interests. Anthony began swimming competitively at the age of 7 and continued through college; swim kept him centered, shaped his work ethic and was the foundation for life-long friendships.
He graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in December 2021 and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering in May 2022. He was a cornerstone of the WashU formula car race team and the intramural swim team. He interned at the Spaceship Company and Virgin Galactic and began his career at Boeing in July 2022. He liked to joke that he really was a rocket
scientist, and the scant 8 months spent at Boeing, he established himself as the go-to problem-solver.
Hobbies included astronomy, anything math related, and cars. The movie "A Beautiful Mind" is apropos. A brilliant mind can also be a troubled one. Anthony was a shooting star that burned brightly but snuffed out quickly.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to The American Society for Suicide Prevention afps.org or Mental Health America of Greater Houston mhahouston.org.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Houston, Texas. Once finalized, arrangements will be posted here when made.
