Dear Grotts Family, my sincere condolences for your loss. I will always cherish the time I spent with the ever-smiling Bill! I would like to share my best memory of him...Sophmore year of Lake Forest High School, under the direction of Mr. Fazenbacher, Bill and I did the Abbott & Costello duo-skit, "Who's on First?" We were so good that after winning Lake County, we went downstate, and brought home the First Prize trophy, which was proudly displayed in the (now moth-balled) West Campus trophy case. The hardest part for me, as Abbott, was not memorizing my lines, which only took a few days, but rather keeping from laughing at Bill's Costello, which took me weeks to master. His mirth was absolutely contagious...a wondeful life to be remembered and cherished!
